Kevin Durant has been dominating the headlines for the past few days following his request for a trade from the Brooklyn Nets

Ever since, the two-time Finals MVP has been put on blast by countless analysts and fans. On Saturday morning, he posted a message on Twitter for his critics.

"The ones who were locked in that gym with me know what it is, they know what I’m about," Durant tweeted. "If you haven’t been in there with me, ask around."

Durant hasn't released a public statement as to why he wants out of Brooklyn. All we do know is that he's interested in joining either the Miami Heat or the Phoenix Suns. According to Chris Haynes from Yahoo Sports, Durant's preferred destination is the Phoenix Suns.

The Miami Heat are also among preferred destinations, but according to ESPN's Andrew Wojnarowski, the Nets plan to move Durant where they can get the best possible deal. Wojnarowski adds that the entire Nets roster will be available to discuss in deals, and Brooklyn will look for a historical return on players and draft picks.

Durant still has a 4-year $192.4 million contract, which runs after the 2025-26 season. Last season, he averaged 29.9 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 6.4 assists in 55 regular-season games.

There is currently no timetable for when a trade involving Durant will come to fruition.
