Karlo Matkovic will complete the 2023-24 season with the New Orleans Pelicans.

Karlo Matkovic, the young Croatian big man of Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana, is on his way to the NBA and New Orleans Pelicans, the Slovenian team officially announced.
Matkovic, 22, was selected with the 52nd pick in the 2022 NBA Draft by the Pelicans, so they hold his rights in the NBA.
Matkovic has been a standout player for Cedevita, averaging 14.8 points, 6.4 rebounds, 1.1 assists, 0.9 steals, and a league-leading 2.1 blocks per game in the EuroCup. His statistics combined for an average of 18.9 PIR per match.
These statistics are in spite of a dismal season by Cedevita in Europe, as the team is 1-16 with one more game remaining in the EuroCup regular season.
