Luca Banchi said that Vincent Poirier played through an injury in Game 3, being in pain since Game 2 where he sustained it.
Anadolu Efes Istanbul fell short in Turkiye against Panathinaikos Aktor Athens and are trailing 1-2 in the Euroleague quarterfinals.
Vincent Poirier had a rough night with 2 points and 3 rebounds in 16 minutes played.
According to Efes' coach Luca Banchi, Poirer suffered an injury in Game 2 of this series.
Poirier played the match injured and gave it his best in order to help Efes maintain home-court advantage:
"Unfortunately, Vincent Poirier suffered an injury during Game 2," Banchi said post-game.
"He did not prepare for Game 3 as much as he would like, he did not move the way he did in previous two games as we could see."
"I think we found good contributions from the alternatives we had on the court tonight."
